Forty-plus years ago, my mommy brought home garbage bags full of beads and I never really recovered.

She worked in a bead factory when we lived in New Jersey, and she brought home beads just for me. They only made plastic beads — including those little five-pointed stars from the 1970s and 1980s used for Christmas candle decorations with pipe cleaners. There were even tiny yellow flame beads for the tops.

I was obsessed.

I wanted to swim in those beads. I still remember reaching into those bags, digging all the way to the bottom, pulling up handfuls, and letting them run through my fingers. That feeling never left.

Hex & Havoc grew from that same obsession — decades of making, collecting, experimenting, and following strange little curiosities wherever they led.

Some pieces begin in my home studio, built by hand from beads, charms, string, and whatever catches my eye. Others are discovered objects that earned their place in the collection because they had the right attitude, the right story, or simply refused to be ignored.

Everything here passes through the same obsessive filter:

Does it have a story?

Does it have attitude?

Does it deserve to exist?

I create and collect objects for people who wear their convictions, keep strange things close, and understand that the best treasures are rarely ordinary.
